Aura Collective | Mitchell + Gungahlin

The build begins 🤎

Follow along as we bring Aura Collective Gungahlin to life ✨

Keeping the essence of our Mitchell salon, while giving our Gungahlin space a personality of its own.

Working with a familiar colour palette, layered textures and that relaxed Mediterranean feel we love 🤍

We can’t wait to show you what we create

Aura Collective Gungahlin — coming soon October

The Collective is growing 🤎

We can finally share what we’ve been working on behind the scenes…

Aura Collective is coming to Gungahlin 🔑

When we created Aura, the vision was always bigger than simply creating a beautiful salon.

We wanted to create a space grounded in incredible hair, genuine care, education and opportunity, for our clients and for the people who build their careers with us.

Our original plan was to expand into our space next door to our Mitchell salon. We had the plans and a clear vision for how we wanted Aura to grow, but the timing simply wasn’t right…. for now.

Then this opportunity came along 🤭

A new space in Gungahlin that gives us the opportunity to grow the Collective in a way that feels incredibly aligned with where Aura is heading.

It means we can welcome and care for more clients across Canberra while creating more opportunities for our team to grow their careers.

It also gives us something we’ve wanted for a long time. A dedicated space to train and develop our junior stylists and the opportunity to bring education, workshops and industry events back to Canberra, something that has always been such an important part of our journey ✨

Some of our existing stylists will also be making Gungahlin their new salon home. We’ll personally contact their clients before opening with everything they need to know.

Aura Collective across two beautiful spaces, with the same standards, the same care and the same heart behind everything we do.

We’re so excited to share the journey of this next chapter and yes, this our concept design🥂

As Zahra continues to grow her skills with us, she’ll also be looking for highlight and colour models for selected training appointments✨

Keep an eye on our socials for upcoming model opportunities or DM us if you’d love to be considered.

Something special is coming soon….🫣🤭😍

Our girl is officially QUALIFIED 🥹🤎

Gemma started with us at just 15 years old as a very shy and quiet school base apprentice, and I’ve had the absolute privilege of watching her blossom into the beautiful, confident young woman and stylist she is today.

She is the first stylist to complete her entire apprenticeship with us from the very beginning, and that makes this milestone incredibly special to me.

Gem, I’m so proud of your hard work, determination and the way you’ve continued to grow and push yourself over the years. But I’m equally proud of the person you’ve become.

You’re such an important part of our team, always willing to help others, someone our younger juniors now look up to and, somewhere along the way you’ve become not only a team member but a beautiful friend 🤎

Thank you for your loyalty and for choosing to grow with us all these years. I can’t wait to watch this next chapter of your career unfold and see where life takes you.

And to every client who has sat in Gemma’s chair, supported her, trusted her and been part of her journey — thank you. You’ve helped her get here too.

Please help us congratulate our newly qualified stylist, Gemma! 🥂✨

So proud of you, Gem. This is only the beginning. 🤎
